About Us

The Institute for the Sustainable Performance of Buildings (SU•PER•B) is located in Berkeley, CA.

Our mission is to to help raise the level of knowledge and skill for developing, operating and using sustainable buildings.

To pursue our mission SU•PER•B engages in a number of research and education-related actions, including:

• Participating in research projects on building energy efficiency, water efficiency, performance, comfort, productivity and sustainability.
• Developing guidelines, standards, and content for educational seminars and webinars providing informaiton about high performance, low energy buildings.
• Presenting at educational seminars and webinars on high performance, low energy buildings.
• Developing cyber-based educational software such as Learn HVAC (see www.learnhvac.org)
• Developing and providing interactive educational websites such as www.ecoadvisor.org.
• Developing and providing interactive educational CDs.
• Collaborating with others in providing eLearning products to improve building sustainability.
